How can ONSET PRP be used in aesthetic treatments?

ONSET PRP can be used in aesthetics to promote skin rejuvenation and stimulate hair growth.

ONSET PRP tubes and kits can be used for the following treatments:

Skin Rejuvenation: PRP is often utilized in facial aesthetics to improve skin tone, texture, and overall appearance. The procedure involves drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, which is then processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other components. The PRP, which contains a concentrated amount of growth factors and proteins, is then injected into the targeted areas of the face. The growth factors help stimulate collagen production, enhance skin elasticity, and promote a more youthful complexion. This treatment can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.

Vampire Facial: The “Vampire Facial” is a popular PRP-based aesthetic procedure. It combines micro-needling with PRP application. Micro-needling creates small punctures in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response. PRP is then applied to the treated areas, allowing the growth factors to penetrate deeper into the skin through the microchannels. This process helps stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and promote a radiant complexion.

Hair Restoration: PRP is also used as a non-surgical treatment option for hair loss or thinning hair. In this procedure, PRP is injected into the scalp, specifically targeting areas where hair loss has occurred. The growth factors in PRP stimulate hair follicles, promoting hair growth, increasing hair thickness, and reducing hair loss. Multiple sessions are usually recommended for optimal results.

Scar Treatment: PRP can be used to improve the appearance of scars, including acne scars, surgical scars, or other types of scars. By injecting PRP into the scar tissue, the growth factors aid in the remodeling process, promoting the formation of healthier, smoother skin.

How to Use

Preparation:
  • Ensure a clean and sterile work environment. Use proper hand hygiene and wear disposable gloves.
  • Gather all necessary materials, including PRP tubes, collection accessories (such as syringes and needles), antiseptic solution.
Patient Preparation
  • Explain the procedure to the patient and obtain informed consent.
  • Identify a suitable venipuncture site, typically the antecubital vein in the arm.
  • Cleanse the site with an antiseptic solution and allow it to dry.
Blood Collection
  • Attach a sterile needle to a syringe or vacuum blood collection system.
  • Insert the needle into the vein and collect the required volume of blood. The amount may vary depending on the specific PRP kit being used. Typically, 10-20 mL of blood is collected.
  • Gently invert the blood collection tube several times to mix the blood with the anticoagulant present in the tube.
PRP separation
  • Transfer the collected blood into the PRP tube. Follow the instructions provided with the specific PRP kit, as different kits may have varying protocols.
  • Seal the PRP tube securely to prevent any leakage during centrifugation.
  • Place the PRP tube in a centrifuge. Ensure proper balancing by placing an equal weight or volume opposite the PRP tube.
  • Centrifuge the tube at the specified speed and duration recommended by the PRP kit manufacturer. Typically, this involves a two-step process, with the initial spin separating red and white blood cells from plasma, and a second spin further separating the plasma into PRP and platelet-poor plasma (PPP).
PRP collection
  • After centrifugation, carefully remove the PRP tube from the centrifuge.
  • The PRP will be present as a distinct layer, usually located at the top of the tube. Take care not to disturb the layers during handling.
  • Using a sterile syringe or specialized PRP transfer device, carefully extract the PRP layer without aspirating any underlying red or white blood cells or the PPP layer.
PRP application
  • Depending on the intended use, the extracted PRP can be applied directly to the desired area or further processed, such as through activation or combination with other substances, as per the treatment protocol recommended by the healthcare professional.
