We are all eager to reopen on 12th April and we bet you are super excited about seeing your clients who you have missed more than ever. Then the nerves kick in…They will have high expectations and you need to ensure that they have the best experience visiting your salon after such a long break. You end up questioning yourself because you strive for perfection.
AM I READY?
With a little bit of help from one of our loyal clients, we created a checklist for you to help you with feeling readier than ever:
M-Esthetic's Salon Readiness Checklist
- SALON sparkling clean and COVID safe
You can find the government guidelines here. You need to ensure cleanliness, adequate ventilation, and enough space to observe social distancing rules; a reminder on the door to wear face coverings will not go amiss.
- CLIENTS ready and healthy
You need to confirm with every single client that they have not developed any covid symptoms and are not likely to put us and other clients at risk by coming to the clinic. It may be time-consuming but in the long run, it will benefit the salon and prevent you from unnecessary closures.
- TREATMENTS suitable
There is a lot of debate out there over the suitability of certain treatments pre and post covid vaccine and we do not have any confirmed guidelines on this. We’d urge you to refrain from performing any injectables procedures within two weeks of having the vaccine.
You may feel like you have suddenly forgotten your contraindications and you don’t know how to run your consultation. Breathe! You’ll be fine. Always get the client to read and sign a treatment consent form – this is your best backup in any case. We provide therapy protocols and treatment forms free of charge. Just ask!
- PRODUCTS ready and in date
We know this sounds like a no-brainer but we have been out of action for a while. There’s nothing worse than realising that you do not have the product you need for the planned treatment or the one you have is out of date. Stock up! We are going to have some amazing deals on our most popular products in the coming days so keep your eyes peeled for our newsletter.
- HAND steady
This is the trickiest out of all. We know! You have not performed some treatments for months and you feel like you’re out of practice. Maybe you trained just before the lockdown and you haven’t had a chance to practice so you feel completely out of your depth. Breathe. You’ve got it! And if you haven’t, we are here to help. We offer refresher courses, 1-1s as well as online courses. Most importantly we are here for you and happy to help wherever we can so please get in touch if you need us.
